Snmp2CSV is a standalone
program that gathers networking related information about any SNMP enabled
device. Snmp2CSV is controlled by a configuration file and can retrieve
information from one to many devices (IP addresses). The output from
Snmp2CSV is a standard .CSV file that can be read directly by Microsoft
Excel, imported to various databases, read as a text file, or read by other
types of programs.
Each IP address specified in the configuration
file is represented in the output file whether the address could be contacted
via SNMP or not. For those addresses that cannot be contacted via
SNMP, a “PING” contact is attempted and the results are included in the
output file where appropriate.
Snmp2CSV supports individual SNMP community
names by IP address or a single name across scanned IP ranges.
A quiet mode makes it possible to schedule
and run Snmp2CSV during off-hours without desktop interaction.
In the registered version of Snmp2CSV,
there is no limit to the number of devices that Snmp2CSV can contact.
The demo version displays a final popup message regardless of the quiet
setting and is limited to 10 IP addresses, but is otherwise fully functional.
