NMS.Net is a data collection engine, database, and ASP.NET front-end solution to monitoring network connections.

The system can collect data on any number of IP addresses across the Internet or within a LAN. The system discovers new devices automatically and gathers SNMP data as well as PING response times for all monitored devices.

All configuration is done via a password protected web interface. For each device, a 3-level notification system is available. The system will automatically email predefined addresses for each device and devices can be configured individually to be ignored, or to email in escalation, 1, 2 or 3 addresses.

The intervals between PING monitoring, SNMP monitoring, discovery, notifications, and more can be configured.

NMS.Net is available as a service, or as a product. When purchased as a product, NMS.Net must be installed on a Windows Server 2003 computer and MSSQL or the MSDE must be available. As a service, Greg Marsh Enterprises hosts NMS.Net, but the client has full configuration control of the operation and each client's information is kept private.

NMS.Net was previously named WMINMS. That product was upgraded to new Microsoft Technologies and WMI is no longer a major part of the system. Therefore, the name was changed to better reflect the current product.
