| The Layer 2 Intrusion
Prevention system (L2IPS) is high-quality, low-cost solution to replace
traditional firewalls. L2IPS operates at the OSI Layer 2 just like
bridges and switches and is built upon a very secure version of OpenBSD.
Our L2IPS solution is just as strong as
any of the leading firewalls, but it operates in "Bridge Mode" and requires
no IP addresses. This greatly simplifies network topology and makes
the firewall much more secure than most -- if you can't see it, you can't
hack it!
L2IPS is available in in several forms:
- A managed service where we provide
the hardware, software, and remote support
- A partly managed service where you
provide the hardware and we do the rest
- An appliance where we provide the hardware,
software, and a basic configuration
- Custom configurations
Shipments of L2IPS appliances began in
early 2005 and the other forms are available today!
